Street view comes to the island!

Posted December 2, 2009

Google maps streetview is finally here! Albeit in a somewhat limited form (only in Nanaimo and Victoria) though the nanaimo street view area spreads all the way up to nanoose bay which is pretty impressive. Go forth and enjoy!

Abandonia

Posted November 24, 2009

Ever reminisce about how awesome video games used to be (and how difficult?) well now you can go back in time and play all (or most anyways) of your old favorites at Abandonia. You are not hardcore unless you can finish your old favorite on the hardest setting!

Groovy Sharks

Posted November 14, 2009

I've been playing around with grooveshark again lately, and they've finally updated the site! It used to be a great idea that was impossible to use because the music would keep dropping out and it was a bit tricky to get the tracks arranged how you wanted them but with the redesign it is a great ide…

Required Viewing is Evolving

Posted September 1, 2009
So I have come to realize that my little required viewing blog post is a) incomplete, and b) evolving and everchanging. So I've created an entire page dedicated to the internets RAD STUFF! I'll make a little blog post now and again when I update the page, and this is the first one! I've added a coup…

Required Viewing

Posted August 30, 2009

Many things I say daily are references to TV shows, webcomics, memes, and online videos. I recently got a new job and my new co-workers are having a bit of trouble understanding me from time to time. This post is a list of some of the things that I find hilarious so people can watch them and then ge…

Stylish ;)

Posted August 24, 2009
I just recently discovered using stylish to change your about:blank page in firefox. Seems a simple thing but it makes it so much enjoyable when you open a new tab to be looking at this as opposed to a blank sheet. Also, combined with the awesomeness of adblock-plus it has the pleasant effect on gro…

How to not be a sheep

Posted August 21, 2009

w00t.com is a pretty fun site to follow, unfortunately they do not ship to canada. (boo!) However, they do have shirt.w00t.com.

Now, I don't like to wear clothing that you can see on people every day. shirt.w00t is perfect because the designs are totally original and it's not a widely known site. Pl…

Messy

Posted September 13, 2008

This site is getting messy as the viviti team keeps adding features that make me want to use them. It's time for a redesign with a simpler cleaner look. I'll probably have a page for the messy stuff (blogroll, tweets, last.fm music etc)

I could go for some suggestions right about now if anybody has …

New Photos!!!

Posted August 5, 2008

At this very moment I am uploading 51 pictures to my flickr account! (rejoice!) There are pictures of the gay pride parade and some random old stuff that I should have posted a long time ago.

I've been feeling oddly uninspired and lame about my photography lately. It seems like I used to be able to …

Transport Canada "Harmonizes" Bumper standard

Posted July 18, 2008

Transport canada has finally "harmonized" the safety restrictions on vehicles being imported. That means no more rediculous looking bumper thingees on the audi r8 in Canada. Also that Mitsubishi evo 8s and 9s can now be imported, as well as a host of other great cars that were not built up to the cr…

Surround Sound!

Posted July 15, 2008

I got all of the audio systems hooked up around the house! 5.1 surround in livingroom #2, and approximate 4.1 on my computer. (Very important for gaming and listening to music while working on the computer or other main areas of the house) I say approximate 4.1 because the subwoofers (that's right t…

$7 = 2 gigs

Posted June 27, 2008

I received my weekly email update from anitec today and one of the specials I took notice of was a 2gb micro sd card for $6.95 wtf. That is rediculously cheap. I really have no use for a micro sd card right now but I bought one anyways. I am planning on getting an R4 or similar gadget for my DS lite…
